Where to sell clothes in the UAE

Consignment and resale shops

You drop off a bag and the shop does the rest. In return they choose what they accept, set the price, and keep a large share of what it sells for.

Social media and classifieds

You reach plenty of people and keep the full price, but you answer every message yourself, chase payment, arrange delivery and deal with buyers who stop replying.

A resale app with payment and delivery built in

On Loop the buyer pays in the app, a courier collects from your door, and the money goes to your bank once the buyer has their item. You keep 100% of your asking price.

How much to charge for pre-loved clothes

Photos and descriptions that sell

  1. Use daylight and a plain background. A door, a wall or a bed sheet works. Avoid yellow ceiling lights.
  2. Show the whole piece first, on a hanger, laid flat or worn, then the details: fabric, buttons, the brand label and the size tag. You can add up to 10 photos.
  3. Photograph any flaws. A small mark you show is fine. A small mark the buyer finds is a problem.
  4. Add measurements. Chest from armpit to armpit, length, and waist for trousers and skirts. Sizes vary by brand, and measurements answer the question before it is asked.
  5. Name the brand and the size system, for example UK 10 or EU 38.

Selling designer bags, shoes and clothes

Buyers of designer items want to know they are genuine. On Loop, pieces from a list of luxury brands show a “Not yet verified” mark until you add proof, such as the receipt, a serial or date code, or the original box. Once Loop has checked your proof, the listing shows a “Verified” mark. Listings described as replicas or copies are blocked.
